San Luis, Santiago de Cuba, jun. 7, 24._<\/strong> En esta fecha, se festeja en Cuba el D\u00eda Nacional del Bibliotecario, instituido en esta fecha en honor a Antonio Bachiller y Morales, primer bibli\u00f3grafo cubano, de quien se celebra el aniversario 212 de su natalicio.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

La funci\u00f3n social del bibliotecario ha estado adicionalmente vinculada a la promoci\u00f3n del saber, la cultura y la literatura.<\/div>\n

Tesoro de los remedios del alma llamaban en Egipto a las bibliotecas, centros de ilustraci\u00f3n que nos permiten acercarnos a gran parte del conocimiento acumulado por la humanidad.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Los bibliotecarios cubanos suman a su tradicional trabajo una amplia labor de extensi\u00f3n cultural.<\/div>\n

Ellos llegan, con el libro y la literatura, a distantes zonas de la geograf\u00eda cubana, as\u00ed como a escuelas, barrios, centros penitenciarios, entre otros espacios. Las bibliotecas p\u00fablicas cubanas acogen tambi\u00e9n talleres literarios; organizan c\u00edrculos de lectura en las escuelas; y diversas tertulias sobre el libro y sus autores.<\/div>\n

Junto a cada investigador, estudiante, o creador siempre est\u00e1 el bibliotecario. Ellos ofrecen el consejo certero y oportuno. Con su labor, callada pero precisa, tambi\u00e9n se difunde y conserva la cultura cubana.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
