San Luis, Santiago de Cuba, may. 17, 24._<\/strong> \u201c(\u2026) el campesino tiene muchas glorias en la historia de nuestro pa\u00eds, y ha jugado un papel muy importante a lo largo de la historia de nuestro pa\u00eds y en la Revoluci\u00f3n\u201d, dijo nuestro l\u00edder hist\u00f3rico Fidel Castro Ruz en la clausura del 8vo Congreso Campesino en 1992.<\/div>\n

Por eso, cada 17 de mayo, es jornada de celebraci\u00f3n, historia y compromiso y se conmemora en Cuba el D\u00eda del Campesino, una fecha que marca, en diferentes a\u00f1os, notables acontecimientos estrechamente unidos a las luchas y conquistas de ese sector en nuestro pa\u00eds.<\/div>\n

Celebramos el D\u00eda del Campesino como homenaje de recordaci\u00f3n al l\u00edder agrario Niceto P\u00e9rez, asesinado en 1946 por los esbirros de la Guardia rural, es el aniversario 63 de la creaci\u00f3n de la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Agricultores Peque\u00f1os (ANAP) y el 65 de promulgada la Primera Ley de Reforma Agraria.<\/div>\n
