el honor de participar en la ceremonia de traslado e inhumaci\u00f3n de los combatientes del Tercer Frente, ca\u00eddos en la guerra o fallecidos luego del triunfo. 19 guerrilleros que regresan junto a su jefe, el Comandante de la Revoluci\u00f3n Juan Almeida\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>El Tercer (III) Frente Oriental Santiago de Cuba, tambi\u00e9n denominado III Frente Santiago de Cuba o III Frente Doctor Mario Mu\u00f1oz Monroy, fue creado por el Ej\u00e9rcito Rebelde, para llevar a cabo la Guerra de Liberaci\u00f3n Nacional (1956-1958) contra la dictadura de Fulgencio Batista.<\/p>\n<p>Fundado en marzo de 1958 por el Comandante Juan Almeida con base de operaciones militares en la zona monta\u00f1osa cercana a Santiago de Cuba, abarcaba unos seis mil kil\u00f3metros cuadrados, desde las cercan\u00edas de Bayamo hasta las de Santiago de Cuba, incluidos los territorios de Baire, Jiguan\u00ed, Contramaestre, Guisa, Santa Rita, Maffo, Palma Soriano, Aguacate, Ram\u00f3n de Guaninao,
